Get to Know our New Team Members

Meet Devin, Service Delivery Engineer with Calyx.

What value do you bring to our clients?

I bring a unique perspective backed by hands-on experience. My background is a little different from most in this field—much of my skillset is self-taught, which gives me a distinctive approach to problem-solving. I’ve developed an adaptable mindset that allows me to quickly assess issues, apply practical solutions, and support our new team with confidence.

What/who inspires you?

My inspiration comes from family. I don’t have a single role model I try to emulate, but the people closest to me are what keep me going. They drive my ambition and fuel my motivation to create a more comfortable and meaningful life. Not just for myself, but for the people I care about.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I’m all about creativity, curiosity and connection. I enjoy wildlife and landscape photography, experimenting with homelab setups and diving into audiobooks. I’m also an avid gamer and love getting together with friends for board games or a good D&D campaign.

I bring adaptability, authenticity and patience to every interaction. I’m always looking for ways to turn challenges into opportunities, which helps me stay committed to excellence. Whether it’s working alongside my teammates or supporting a client, I focus on creating smooth collaboration and delivering the best customer service possible.

What/who inspires you?

My team members inspire me every day. Their incredible service and willingness to help each other through challenges motivates me to keep improving and to show up as my best self.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I’m a big fan of exploring new foods from different places—especially desserts. Trying something new is always an adventure, and it’s one of my favorite ways to relax and enjoy my downtime.

What value do you bring to our clients?

I bring a balance of technical expertise, quick problem-solving and clear communication to every situation. Whether it’s troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues or helping a client through a confusing tech problem, I stay calm under pressure and follow through until it’s resolved. 

I’m also big on continuous improvement—whether that’s refining internal processes or sharing what I learn to help our team grow stronger together.

What/who inspires you?

I’m inspired by people who lead with resilience and accountability. The kind of people who take ownership, face challenges head-on and push themselves to grow. Especially while lifting others up along the way. Those are the leaders and teammates who leave a lasting impact, and I try to bring that same mindset to my work every day.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me lifting weights, writing or spending time with my family. I’ve always loved storytelling, especially anything related to Norse mythology. I’m constantly working on creative ideas, whether it’s for a new book, a fitness brand or just figuring out a better way to build something I care about.
