Type of Position: Full Time

Reports To: Director of Sales

Location: 26202 Detroit Road, Suite 100-C, Westlake, OH 44145


Job Function:
  • Locate, contact, and develop relationships with prospects in Northeast Ohio; Define, negotiate and close sales.
  • Contact prospects to determine who key buying personnel are, whether they use the products we sell, and accurately enter information into customer data base.
  • Sell to and through all levels of organizations, including top executives (CEO, COO, CFO), IT executives or personnel, and office managers.
  • Match Calyx’s products and solutions to solve the prospect’s problems by clearly explaining the direct value and/or benefit; Conduct sales presentations and solution demonstrations.
  • Coordinate necessary presales technical activities between prospect and Calyx system engineers.
  • Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Create monthly pipeline sales activity reports to share with direct report.
  • Protect Calyx intellectual property by keeping information confidential.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good typing skills – 30 words per minute or more.
  • Considerable local travel within Cleveland, Akron and Columbus metro areas; Occasional regional or national travel may be required.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM software to maintain detailed records of sales efforts and activities.
  • Utilize Connectwise Sell quote automation software to generate all customer sales quotes.
  • Participate in continual product sales training (self-paced online, and in-person workshops).
  • Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and Non-Solicitation Agreement.
  • 3+ years of prior experience and Bachelor’s degree or higher helpful, but not required.

Job Function:
  • Oversee all client service requests, incidents and problems, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Develop and continually improve ticketing processes and workflows.
  • Manage escalation of tickets and validate that all required information is available to clients and technical resources.
  • Obtain, build and maintain training materials and programs for staff.
  • Monitor, understand and provide reporting based on established KPIs for service delivery.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for clients during critical issue resolution.
  • Review and followup on client post-ticket survey responses.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing with CRM database updates for client and prospective client communications.


  • Positive attitude and the ability to maintain composure and professional demeanor under stress.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever changing environment and work productively on several tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to address a range of ticket types, from the simple and mundane to the more technical and challenging.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to mentor newer employees in Calyx methodologies.
  • Identify skill gaps in employees, then assist in scheduling additional training to close skill gaps as best as possible.
  • Identify process and documentation gaps, then assist in improving the process or documentation as best as possible.
